Being a homeschool mom is hard. It’s not glamorous. No flashy awards are involved. Nearly everything you do goes unnoticed. (Except if you head to the bathroom. That can seem like a family affair with the kids in tow or knocking on the door. Ha!) Many sacrifices are made…daily. Some days you are swimming in diapers, laundry, and schoolwork. It can get extremely lonely. Some days it’s easy to wonder if it’s really worth it; or if you are doing enough. Maybe even if you are enough.
Dear fellow mom, it’s worth it! And whenever you find yourself lacking, you will find strength in God. He handpicked you for this. If He called you to homeschool, He will equip you. And if He entrusted you with precious little lives, He will supply you with everything needed to mother each one!
I’m Katie Pérez. I am a wife to Hugo, and a mother to Ally (12) and Charlie (2). I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mom who also homeschools (even though that was never a part of the plan).
I am also a passionate follower of Jesus. I am amazed that He calls me a friend.
AHomeWithLife.com is a place where moms can come to find encouragement, motivation, and inspiration. (And a helpful printable or two.) It is easy for our daily life and routines to feel ordinary and mundane, but it doesn’t have to be that way! Sure, there are things we will need to do consistently day in and day out, but that doesn’t mean life has to be boring! I firmly believe that if we follow Jesus our lives are anything but ordinary. Jesus is LIFE! He is the Source of life for us and that life can spill out into our families and homes. We’re in this together; let’s pursue Life!
